Welcome to Scotland, the land of breathtaking landscapes and rich history.

Planning a wedding in a country that’s not your home country can be a complex and stressful process, however, with Twelv. Events guiding you through every step these concerns can be alleviated, allowing you to enjoy your wedding planning process, even if it’s at a distance.

In addition to all the usual aspects of planning a wedding, having a Scottish destination wedding creates so many more questions that you need answers for.

Scotland is an idyllic place to start your new life together. So why wait?

If you’re considering a destination wedding, Scotland is a perfect choice.

Scotland is steeped in history and culture and with its castles, lochs, and rolling hills, Scotland offers a variety of stunning venues for your special day. From the grandeur of a castle to the intimacy of a small village, Scotland has something to suit every couple’s style and budget. The Scottish people are known for their warm hospitality, and you’ll find that the local suppliers are more than happy to work with you to make your wedding day perfect. From florists and caterers to photographers and musicians, Scotland has a wealth of talented professionals to help bring your vision to life. Scotland has its own unique wedding traditions, such as bagpipes, quaichs, tying the knot and the traditional Scottish ceilidh dance. These will add special touches to your wedding day. You can pick and choose the ones that suit your vision.

The legal system in Scotland is different from the rest of the UK and the requirements for getting married here are a little bit more relaxed. This helps you to tailor your wedding day to exactly how you want it to be. Scotland is well-connected by air, rail and road making it easy for couples like you and your guests to travel from other parts of the UK and abroad. In addition to the beautiful scenery and friendly locals, Scotland also offers a diverse range of activities for you and your guests to indulge in. From hiking and fishing to golfing and whisky tasting, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

How I work

With my Scottish Destination Weddings’ service, I step in to orchestrate a flawless celebration against the backdrop of Scotland’s stunning landscapes, ensuring your day unfolds seamlessly while you focus on pure joy and celebration.

01. Initial Consultation

Our journey begins with a thorough consultation where we delve into your vision, desires, and the unique aspects you envision for your Scottish destination wedding. We’ll discuss your preferred locations, themes, and any specific cultural elements you’d like to incorporate.

02. Venue Scouting

Once we understand your vision, we embark on a journey to find the perfect Scottish venue that aligns with your dreams. Whether it’s a castle on a hill, a rustic countryside barn, or a charming loch-side setting, we’ll help you discover the ideal backdrop for your special day.

03. Supplier Selection

Together we hand-pick a team of trusted vendors, including photographers, caterers, musicians, and more, who understand the beauty of Scottish weddings. We ensure that they align with your vision and budget while delivering the quality and authenticity that Scotland offers.

04. Celebrant Selection

Even though classed as a supplier, your celebrant needs a separate mention as you’ll be working closely with them to write your love story for your ceremony. This relationship is very special and you need to feel a deep connection with them. They’re also the experts in the legal requirements needed and without those properly in place you won’t be legally married.

05. Cultural Traditions

For those who wish to incorporate Scottish traditions into their celebration, I provide guidance and expertise. Whether it’s a traditional ceilidh dance, a whisky tasting, or a ceremonial tartan, I’ll ensure that every cultural element is thoughtfully integrated.

06. Logistics Management

I will handle all the logistical details of planning your wedding, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. I’ll arrange transport and accommodation for you and your guests, leaving you with peace of mind. Furthermore, I’ll implement backup plans for every aspect, especially in case of rain, which is known to occur in Scotland, to guarantee the seamless flow of your celebration regardless of the weather conditions.

07. On The Day

On the big day, I’ll be on-site early to ensure setup is complete, coordinate supplier arrivals, and ensure that the event unfolds flawlessly. I’ll manage the day’s logistics, allowing you and your guests to focus solely on the joy and beauty of the moment.

08. Post-Wedding Support

Now, this is something other planners forget about, but not Twelv. Events. The low after being on such a massive wedding day high can be quite a shocker. I know, that was me a few months ago.

If needed, this is where I step in with my NLP Master Practitioner hat on. You can use the tools from NLP to help ease you back into a normal way of life.

Alongside this, you also get practical tips and advice for all the post-wedding bits and bobs to do. It’s definitely not as exciting but still needs thinking about.
